Toddler Terror

Sept 4, 2012
Reba was such a blessing this summer. She was a blast! She potty trained herself, yes I said herself while we were on our vacation!! She did great! She would tell me she had to potty and off we went! After a week of dry diapers and her telling her sunday school teacher she had to potty, we celebrated by buying new panties!! Diapers are a thing of the past, except for nighttime! She even stays dry during nap! Go Reba, Go Reba!! LOL. She loves to sing, Happy Birthday, Happy Days are here to stay, Elmo's World, and made up songs that usually consist of naming a bunch of people! She enjoys drinking from real cups, not sippy cups. While we were visiting in Indiana she talked Mamaw out of a special little baby! It is a baby in an Elephant cosutme! As alot of you might know, Reba doesn't like her baby dolls to be dressed, however she made me put another baby's outfit on the elephant baby....not easy! She insists this baby stays dressed! Weird kid!!

March 11
She has learned to climb the playyard out back by herself, getting down is another story, but she does ask for help down! She learned to help herself to a big girl glass of water, that includes getting the water successfully in her big girl cup from the water tap on the frig!!! So smart! Reba has been using transference for about a month and a half! How does she even know! She uses transference with her baby dolls when she gets hurt. She also knows how to pretend....playing with her babies and cooking in her kitchenette! She is such an amazing kid!

Pictures in order: Reba climbing her play yard, Sitting in play yard eating oreos, All smiles w/ Momma, Momma, Reba, and Reba's BFF Lucy, then her and her bff sharing!!!

So I've realized I haven't mentioned Reba's routine...my friends sometimes seem amazed, so it must be worth sharing right??

6-7am*Reba wakes up with an immediate diaper change then breakfast.
7-10am*After breakfast we watch some Dinsey, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates are her favorites! We jointly drink our morning "joe" while playing on our computer's. Its pretty darn cute and sweet!
10am*snack time
10-11am*Kathy Lee & Hoda
11am-12:30pm*Naptime (sometimes she prefers to wait until 2ish)
12:30pm*lunch
12:30pm-3:30pm*playtime & the following:
-Physical "Education" (a walk, outdoor play, dancing, wrestling...ect), Reading (looking @ books, reading books, storytime @ Barnes & Noble), Life skills (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting...ect), Art (coloring, drawing, painting, crafts), and Circle Time (abc's and counting)

These happen throughout the day when it fits for us, typically we don't do many of these until after we watch KLG & Hoda! :)
2pm*snack time
3:30pm*snacktime (with brother)
5:30pm*dinner
6pm*Bathtime & Jammies
6:30-7pm*family time
7pm*bedtime

We always have outings and playgroups/dates so she gets plenty of exposure to other kids. Sometimes we have lunch dates with daddy! So this schedule is mostly just a guide however, breakfast/nap/bedtime are pretty much staples on a day to day basis!

Reba is growing up so fast! Yesterday she drank out of a big girl cup quite successfully! And today she emptied her cereal bowl into the trash and put her empty bowl into the sink! I Love seeing her bloom!!! It is such an awesome Momma feeling!

Feb 19
I have to say I'm such a proud Momma! I LOVE watching Kathy Lee & Hoda in the mornings and since Reba was born we have watched it together just about every day. We occassionally miss it for a playgroup. So, I LOVE that I ask her if she is ready to watch KLG & Hoda and she says "Hoda"! Its pretty darn cute!

My little Monkey is sooo darn cute! I was getting her ready for bed the other night, putting her pink monkey jammies on and I asked her if she was my monkey. She said "no", and I replied "yes you are! You are momma's little monkey". Reba said "no, duck duck." Isn't she so funny.

Every morning I sit in the Lazy Boy Rocker with a cup of coffee and my laptop looking at emails and facebook, and Reba did the cutest thing about a week ago. She started climbing up with me, bringing along her milk cup and her elephant laptop (that my Aunt Skip gave her for her birthday). Now she sits with me every morning doing exactly what I do! Drinking our morning joe and playing on the computer!!! Hope to get a picture of that soon!

Speaking of pictures I've got a good one!

Reba thinks she is soo funny. We went to dinner @ Cici's Pizza (buffet) and I got her a plate and would give her pizza off my plate. She decided she needed more so she took all my pizza from my plate. So I grabbed my dessert plate and started to take a bite, when Reba took my plate and piled all my dessert on her plate, then would not let me take my empty plate back! She is a little stinker, but a cute one!

Reba is an incredibly smart 16 month old little girl! She Loves ducks, singing, dancing, cooking, EATING, terrorizing, rocking, books, babies, FOOD, helping, coloring, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, running, walks, soccer,SNACKS, swinging, sliding, baths, talking, texting, emailing.....yes all of that and she is only 16 months! I know I have my hands full! She dislikes listening, walking, holding hands, the word NO, meat....so far we are pretty good on the dislikes. She is very healthy, funny, outgoing, bossy, charismatic, charming, beautiful....you name it this girl has it! I know I'm biassed because I'm her Momma, BUT seriously this girl has it all, she is above the charts! I'm told all the time over and over again I should get her into modeling. That is just not something we want for her.

We started Valentine's today!! She had so much fun when I traced her little hands. At first she was confused, but after the first hand was traced the next 9 were just fine!

She was a rambuctious terd at Barnes & Noble storytime!! She sat listening to the stories of Hugs until she finished her little snack, then she wanted to roam looking at books. After a few minutes she decided she wanted to sit with the other kids on the bench....just a few seconds of that and she was climbing onto the stage because she decided it was time to color!! OMG....I had to squeeze through little kids trying to listen to the story to drag her, literally drag her off the stage!!! However, her Horton picture was the BEST coloring she has done to date.

Reba loves to help with laundry, and she really truly is a help! I found a list of chores that kids should be doing at different ages. Can you believe there are about 10 chores she can do??? Its true. I let her help now!! She helps to "sort" the clothes....she's not the greatest, but its a start; She hands me clothes to put in the washer; pushes the wet clothes into the dryer; and hands me clothes from the dryer to fold....and always runs away with a matching sock or Daddy's shirt! Silly girl! Always fun for a laugh or a good hair pulling! So this was our "life skill" today!

We had a very busy day, but we had fun!!
